As today is the first day of Fairtrade Fortnight 2026, we’d love to tell you about a company that puts ethics, planet and fair trade practices at the heart of their business. Lanka Kade is a UK based toy and gift company that manufactures their products under ethical conditions in Sri Lanka.

At surprisingly affordable prices despite their fair trade credentials, these products are high quality, lovely designs and very popular. We sell a range of products from Lanka Kade but the show-stopping products are chunky wooden figures that include animals, dinosaurs, mythical creatures, modern and historical people and objects from everyday life.

These dinosaurs ranging from £2.99 to £3.25 are painted on both sides. They stand unaided and are suitable for age 10mo+. They look great in this jurassic play-world with four scenes priced at £49.99. These are just a few of the dinosaurs we have in stock with lots more bright and colourful figures available, because who can say for sure that dinosaurs weren’t purple.

The wooden sea creatures seen here range from £2.75 to £3.25. We have all kinds of sealife in stock from aquatic mammals (whales, dolphins and sea lions) to invertebrates such as crab and octopus. There are even ancient marine reptiles such as the Icthyosaur seen here in yellow. Like all Lanka Kade figures they are safety-marked for sale in the UK.

There is an extensive range of farm animals, pets and wildlife. We can only show a selection of the figures here but every continent and type of animal is represented. From cats and dogs to lions and bears, all these chunky wooden figures are great quality and full of charming character.

All the animals are wonderfully painted on both sides. From the orange orangutan (£3.25) to the brown and black chimp (£2.99) these figures are imaginatively designed and superbly crafted. Also seen here is a gorilla (£3.25) and a hippo (£2.99).

Large and small animals are represented in the collections including lots of bugs, birds, reptiles and amphibians.

The wooden figures shown here are from Lanka Kade’s ‘People who help us’ range. This collection includes people who work in emergency services, doctors, teachers, people who work in the armed forces and more. The figures shown here are £2.75 or £3.00.

Lanka Kade also produce excellent chunky wooden vehicles. They work nicely together with figures from the urban town collection. The vehicles shown here are £6.50 and £6.99, displayed in another one of Lanka Kade’s play worlds, this one features a fire station, police station and investigation room. It’s available now for £49.99.

This lovely wooden castle from Lanka Kade is £75.00 and comes with a selection of knights. The medieval figures are also sold separately and include knights, royalty and mythical beasts.
