To warm up for the National Eisteddfod coming to Pontypridd we’ve invited Upbeat Music and Arts, the same company behind the African Drumming Workshop we hosted in February, to come and showcase us some Welsh culture including traditional instruments and Welsh clog dancing. This is a great workshop for the kids to learn and have fun in the holidays joining in with the spirit of the Eisteddfod. Kids under 13 have a free drink and snack included with their ticket.

Due to limited space, we are asking all those in attendance at the workshop to purchase a ticket. However, you are welcome to have refreshments at the Salad Bar whilst watching children participate. We recommend you reserve your tickets ASAP to confirm your place. Send us a message on social media or call in.
The event takes place on the 31st July, the Wednesday before the National Eisteddfod begins, in the Toy Emporium in Pontypridd Market Quarter. There are three time slots to choose from;
9.30am – 10.10am
10.25am -11.05am or
11.20am -12.00pm
Tickets are £5 for all ages. Under 13s have a drink and snack included.
We had a fab time at the last workshop with Upbeat Music and Arts. The African Drumming Workshop was specifically aimed at children and included a Safari-themed tea from the Salad Bar. It was a fantastic celebration of African culture so we are looking forward to this workshop inspired by our own Welsh roots. The format of this event is different with 40 minute sessions and without the afternoon tea but if this video of the drumming workshop is anything to go by we are sure the kids will love it.
