The feast day of Saint David falls on the 1st of March but for thousands of Welsh children, it’s the weeks leading up to Saint David’s Day associated with dressing up and having their photo taken. It is a funny but rather cute tradition that boys and girls across Wales dress up in their national garb to have their St David’s Day photos taken for the local paper.

Boys often choose to wear a Welsh rugby top in place of the traditional waistcoat and dai cap but we have both options covered. We have the traditional girls “Welsh lady” costume from 0 months up to age 12 plus the usual quaint headwear. If you don’t live locally to Pontypridd and can’t pop in to our shop, we can post out for the cost of Royal Mail delivery; currently small to medium parcel £3.50 or large package is £5.00.
