It’s been thirty years since Ty Inc first launched their Beanie Babies. The world went mad for these highly collectable soft animals back in the 1990s and over the years we have introduced them to generations of customers in South Wales.

Now, to celebrate their anniversary Ty have re-released original Beanie Babies, recognisable as the classics you may have collected when you were younger but with an updated look and a new birthday. There are currently six in the limited edition series with more to be announced soon.

Ty are providing these special beanies exclusively to retailers and only a limited number are available. Once they go, shops won’t be able to order any more. Whilst some shops have already sold out we currently still have all six but don’t wait too long as this series is growing in popularity.

Valentino II – Named for the classic Ty bear who was born on Valentine’s day. After being on sale for just a few months he’s already sold out in lots of places. £5.99

Bongo II – The original Bongo was released in August 1995 and was retired on New Year’s Eve 1998. This version is even cuter and comes with the same poem on his official tag. £5.99

Bones II – Bones was born in January 1994 and originally retired in 1998. This new incarnation has a birthday of March 18th and is already retired so grab him while you can. £5.99

Squealer II – Squealer the Pig was one of the original nine Beanie Babies. Squealer ii has a more blue snout and ears compared to the original’s all pink design but he’s still rather similar to the classic Beanie. £5.99

Snort II – Exclusively released in the UK at this time, Snort II isn’t available in the US so there are even fewer of this cute little bull, which has slightly different colouring to the original. £5.99

Peanut II – This pinky purple elephant is a really gorgeous take on the original blue Peanut, who retired back in 1995. This limited design won’t be in the shops much longer as he’s already sold out to retailers. £5.99

This special little green bear, the Ty Signature Bear 2023, is now in stock in limited numbers. £5.99

Peace II – The original Peace Bear released back in 1997 was a rainbow coloured bear. Now reborn in bright yellow, this symbolic beanie baby has a birthday of September 1st. £5.99

Nanook II – This cute husky has a May 21st birthday. He has a slightly more bluey hinge than the original grey and white Nanook from the 1990s. £5.99

Patti II – This orange and teal platypus is described in the verse on her tag as being a very talkative creature with an extra large beak. The original Patti was a sort of shocking pink and yellow but this beanie has a charm of her own. £5.99

Zip II – Very similar to the original kitty cat born in 1996, Zip ii has distinguishing white paws and a white tip on his tail. He’s so cute though. £5.99
